I’ve decided to do 100 days of affirmations to remind myself of the lifestyle I choose to live. This is a gardenia from my yard that I chose to share with my affirmation of the day. Symbolic for clarity and self-reflection….I found it fitting to sit with those two words: NOT THIS. Some words I need to use more often.

New Moon.

New Moon Intention….

Change. 

This golden winged dragonfly decided to show up today. On a new moon. In my yard. There is so much that needs to be said that has been left unsaid. 

Change.

I danced with it for a while…and then it flew away. What was it trying to tell me? What is it that I need to hear?

Change.

I suppose I’m a reckless big hearted woman…deaf to her own cry…seeking what is seeking me…yet lost in translation. 

Change. 

Will I ever uncover what is covering me?

Full Moon in Libra. If there is no way, create one.

Full moon in Libra…

Tonight is a great time to start thinking about making a “life list.” 

With the full moon in Libra there is an energy that screams sociability. So go on…talk it up! Bounce your ideas off of others…talk to yourself…make a life list and post it to the world. Or just journal it for yourself. 

There may also be an energy around, from the lunar eclipse, that might put your relationships to a test. Tonight would be a good time to evaluate your relationships…maybe it’s time to talk it up and shift to a higher level of connection…or maybe you’ve seen it coming and knew deep down that splitting would actually benefit you more. Whatever situation you’re in…listen to your intuition. You know what’s best. Choose your words carefully…and don’t say something you may regret later, especially if you are angry. Let that anger hop out the window.

AND seriously…tonight start thinking about making a life list. It’s similar to a bucket list, but a lot less morbid. A life list is ACTIVE and intended for you to start living your life the way YOU WANT TO LIVE. I can’t say it enough…if you haven’t realized it yet, YOU have the power to do what you want to do. You are responsible for your life. So live it. Make a list of things you want in your life.. Write down how you want to live…What you want to do… What intentions you have.. And then….START doing them. 

It’s not enough just to send out good vibes and energy and expect it to magically happen. Vibes and energy are just the beginning (and also vital)..,you then have to ACTIVELY persue and make that change. It takes mind and action to make a difference. 

So write up your life list and get to living..

Spring.

I have been way too busy here lately! (I have even missed writing about the first quarter moon..eek). With an echo conference in Atlanta and my daughters dance competition in Orlando…I’ve been so busy!

BUT wanted to say happy Spring! Here are some springy things I’ve been doing! 

I’ll be busy for the next month in preparation for a registry exam scheduled the end of April. I’ll try to check in more often than I have been! In the meantime…its STUDY, STUDY, STUDY time!

Pisces New Moon Intention.

Pisces New Moon…

This new moon has been crazy for me…I feel like the Universe, God, Mother Earth, and Lady Moon are really up to something here! I had planned on taking an exam later this year…but recently started talking with my co-workers about the possibility of taking it sooner. Last night I decided to just check to see if I still could…and sure enough I still had time to sign up for this spring. AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE…the cut off date to sign up was TODAY! Of all days. On a New Moon. With a Solar Eclipse. Do you have chills yet? Because I did. Well I bit the bullet and applied to take the exam and sent off all my documents in the mail today! HOT MAIL to be exact! 🙂 

So for my new moon intention:

I trust that I have the confidence and knowledge I need to prepare for and pass the exam. I believe and intend to COME AS I AM…and be the best Kelly Suzanne there is. I want to tap into my wild woman. My naturalistic being. I want to indulge in the four elements…earth, water, air, and FIRE. I also want to make a morning ritual.

Here are three ideas for some new moon intentions.

  • Set an intention to start a morning ritual. It could be as simple as sitting for 5-10 minutes meditating before you go out into the world. It could be drinking a whole glass of water first thing when you wake up…maybe even add a little lemon. Or try some sun salutations and STRETCH while you greet the sun.
  • Set an intention to reawaken your inner wild woman…or man. Focus on the four elements. You are a human being that NEEDS all four elements to survive. You need the Earth for solid food…try eating more organic food. Try to stop eating processed foods and feel how great it is to eat fresh organic foods and taste all the vitamins and electrons that come from them. You need water…real fresh water. Try some spring water…it comes from natural springs. BREATHE. Breathe in fresh air. Get outside. And get out in the SUN…the sun provides you with vitamins you need! Also try to avoid using too much artificial lighting. Use natural lighting. Go to bed when the sun goes down and let your body produce melatonin…a natural cancer fighter.
  • COME AS YOU ARE. Find the you that you want to be. And just be you. Set an intention to be you…and to not care or bend to please anyone else. You have the power to live the life you want. If you want to do yoga…do it. If you like wearing makeup…wear it. If it makes you feel good…why not? How about writing a personal manifesto…and live up to it!

Here are some key words for the Pisces New Moon to think about:

Earth

Water

Air

Fire

New beginning 

Plant seeds 

Spring 

Endings with Beginnings

Pisces New Moon.

The Pisces New Moon…

is on its way…and this one is going to be a big one! This new moon is going to be backed by a solar eclipse. If you ever thought about setting intentions, now is a good time to do it! Especially since there will be a solar eclipse… 

Most of us won’t be able to see the solar eclipse in the USA, unless you live in Hawaii…but even then only a partial solar eclipse will be visible. Even Alaska might get to see a tiny bit of it. Those who live in Indonesia are in for a treat! Other regions of the world like South & East Asia, North & West Australia, the Idian and Pacific Oceans will also get to see at least part of the eclipse. 

So what does that mean? Well, a solar eclipse happens when the moon passes in-between the Earth and the Sun blocking the sunlight temporarily…a perfect alignment. It creates the appearance of a fiery ring around the moons shadow. Pretty intense. AND something you shouldn’t look at with your bare eyes…google how to look at a solar eclipse!

ON TO THE MOON….

In two days the PISCES NEW MOON will be here in full affect with a solar eclipse to amp it up! March 8th…so mark your calendar! And start prepping for what you’d like to manifest in your life… Prepare for setting an intention to live the life you want to live! 

PISCES is one of my favorite zodiacal signs…after all I am a PISCES rising! So you can imagine how giddy I am about this one! Also one of my sweet echo tech co-workers is a Pisces Sun Sign…so I have an affection for this sign! Hey Betsy!

Pisces brings dreams. If you have dreams…make them come true. Pisces go with the flow…Pisces ALSO have the ability to swim against the current to get what they need. Pisces is also the end of the zodiacal wheel…meaning this could be the end of a phase in your life… followed by rebirth. Maybe a spiritual rebirth. Emotional rebirth. Soul rebirth. No matter what kind of rebirth you need to go through…this new moon is a perfect time to set the intention to GROW or rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. Time to start a new beginning…with an EXTRA boost from that solar eclipse! FYI, if you also work with solar goals, this new moon  might be a great check in point or MOMENT to set a hard solar goal! 

So for the next couple days…think about what you have already intended in the past…THANK yourself for creating the life you want to live in…really THANK yourself…and slowly start to prepare your next new moon intention. You don’t have to set it yet…still feel into the one you set last new moon. And then come back here for some ideas and inspiration on setting your PISCES NEW MOON intention!

Icicles in a Cove Forest

 
North Georgia is so pretty. Above are photographs from our trip to the Chattahoochee National Forest where we took a short hike to see the Anna Ruby Falls. Breathtaking for sure. Surprisingly it wasn’t as cold as I anticipated, given the fact that there were some melting icicles and some snow still left on the ground. 

That forest was quite enchanting. They called it a Cove Forest // for its tall trees on the mountain side and its rich soil. Because the light only hits the ground for a short period of time during the day the earth stays moist creating a great habitat for a variety of plants (like moss and ferns) and animals. Not to mention the creeks that run through it and the underground water that surfaces. It was truly I site to see. I’d imagine that in the spring and summer time it would be even prettier and greener! Those falls were bigger than I expected! It definitely did not disappoint.

 We came to Helen, Georgia last minute for our ten year anniversary… The town is cute…but the mountains and land around it is my favorite! Especially the creeks and rivers! Our hotel sits on the Chattahoochee River which is most magical to me! We have a balcony that looks out to the river…which is why I wanted to stay here. Anyways…we have more exploring to do!!! Will post some more from today in my next post!

FIRST QUARTER MOON IN GEMINI.

See the TWIN lights?… Yes light, light…SPOT light seems to be the topic of today! With the moon in Gemini you may be feeling a sense of an INTENSE need to EXPRESS yourself! Talking really…talking seems to be THE thing to do today. Mind you…be considerate to STOP and listen for a moment. If you feel like you have a lot to share…SHARE IT! But also LISTEN! Find balance in your exchanges. 

Also…take the time to think about what your new moon intention was for this past new moon. Have you honored your new moon intention? Have you forgot about it? What can you do to make that new moon intention FEEL real…be real…BE!
