New Moon in Leo.

Been needing a new moon…been waiting on this one. For tonight, while the moon AND sun are in Leo, take time to revisit your personal manifesto. Who are you? What are you here for? NOTHING should be holding you back from being the “YOU” you were meant to be. But I get it…sometimes it isn’t that easy. Sometimes its REALLY hard to do YOU. Sometimes it’s really hard to crack open AND SHINE. But I can assure you…those are just temporary fears. Temporary limiting thoughts. So how do you get passed all that to transcend into YOU…?

Start by writing it down. Write it down again, again, and again. Tap into the essence of the Leo. Let your insides burst with light…burst with fire…for goodness sake, LEO is ruled by the SUN and is a fire sign…shine, shine, shine…

KINDLE the light within you and let it warm you. KINDLE your desires FIRST and then everything else that you do will come from a place of love. Dishes? HA…how about playing with your essential oils first because it makes you happy….and then while you’ve got that smile on your face from wafting some patchouli aroma up your nose…dishes will seem a little less depressing.

Tap into your inner Lioness or Lion and ROAR it out. If you got some negativity to release ROAR it out. You don’t need it anymore…it has already done its job. You’re transcending. Let go of the things you don’t need to make room for what you do need.

Then when you have written it down, loved & loved some more, felt pain & let it go…FIND COURAGE. Because THAT is the hardest part of all. You know what you want….you know what you need….you’ve written it down, you’ve released what you don’t need anymore….NOW TAKE THE COURAGE OF THE LEO TO STEP INTO THE LIGHT. It is your time to shine. Time is NOW.

PS. I picked this image for personal reasons…I myself have a hard time being the ME I want to be. Les Lis translates to The Lilies…for me this is symbolic in the way that it means purity, modesty, mercy, femininity, and the souls restored innocence.

New Moon in Cancer // BUT FIRST from a year ago… 

It has been a whole year since I attempted my first Personal Manifesto. After looking back at last years July New Moon post I have gotten inspired to REFLECT and TWEAK my living personal manifesto. You can find MY WARM UP QUESTIONS HERE and HERE and then my PERSONAL MANIFESTO HERE from last year.

ALRIGHT…so let’s reflect for two secs…and then we will get to the MOON!

Hum…I’ve lived up to it better than I thought I would. I have been doing yoga nearly everyday with an unlimited yoga membership…I have started doing me by way of making what I want to eat when I want to eat. I’ve put love first in everything that I do. I PASSED my pediatric echo registry ON THE FIRST TRY! I have been hit and miss on the writing “everyday” and the blogging BUT I did start a little fiction story last October….I’m working on it occasionally…I should really reserve time to it everyday…but you know, LIFE. I haven’t painted or drawn much…BUT I PLAN to start again on my trip to the mountains next week. Now that I have passed my registry I don’t have anything to worry about so art and writing should come more freely. FREEDOM….aaah that. Yeeah, I’m still working on that. Told you that one was the hardest…although I do feel like I am more free the more I do me….so there is that.

NOW ON TO THE NEW MOON!

The moon is in Cancer, the Crab, tonight…time for a new beginning and a new intention. Steven Forrest had the perfect analogy to this Zodical Sign in his book The Inner Sky…he talked about how the Crab must build a shell to survive. Within the Crab’s shell is where the transformative work takes place. It is where you grow. Where you do the internal work. Once you’ve nurtured yourself…and grown too big to fit in your old shell…you must shed the old for the new. Molting. Shed. NEW.

Which made me think about our structure…our bones…they are constantly changing….every seven years we have a new set of bones. We are constantly changing…root down and flow with that.

So tonight….think about internal change. Have you been doing the internal work? Have you lived up to your manifesto? Have you served yourself good? Make it an intention to do that. For the next couple of days think about your intention and maybe tweak an old personal manifesto or write a new one!

Cancer Key Words:

Water: “I am rooted, but I FLOW.” -Virginia Woolf

Nurture: Cancer is like a nurturing Mother…just be careful not to be TOO overbearing.

Internal Work: That means…listen to what your soul has to say and do the internal work to connect to your soul. Pray. Connect to God. Connect. Connect. Connect.

Personal Manifesto: WRITE ONE! There is no time limit…just answer the warm up questions HERE if anything!

Full Moon Sagittarius with a Capricorn Flair.

Full Moon Sagittarius…With a Capricorn Flair. 

Y’all. This. Is. IT. A Summer Solstice with a Full Moon…can it get any more magical than that!? I don’t know…but what I do know is that NOW is a time for BIG revelations, BIG TRUTHS, and BIG changes. If you haven’t already…THANK yourself for being you. The TRUTH is OUT THERE. It’s up to YOU to find it and see the signs AND BELIEVE IN YOUR INNER TRUTH. Yes, this is big…and maybe even a little intimidating and slightly scary. But I assure you, YOUR inner truth is right there in front of you. Sagittarius….that truth seeking ARCHER…Man, she’s begging you to AIM and SHOOT.

If you’ve been searching for your inner divine being…take some time tonight to say HELLO. It is there…waiting for you. Tonight and for the next few days you may come to the realization of your inner truth…caution to the wind, you might just come to the realization but it might not be the time to make that change…it might take a day, two days, a couple months…you might even have to plan it out…or maybe tonight is the night…you’ve thought about…are you ready?

Capricorn flair is sending vibes to be oriented and calculated. Make this one count. NOW is the time for YOU…even if you take a baby step. That’s one step closer to FREEDOM. ONE step closer to your inner divine. Capricorn is just that goal oriented…baby steps…OR GIANT steps…YOU know your limits….Sagittarius knows your truth.

For me…I’VE BEEN LIVING MY LIFE like I want…I’ve nearly done yoga EVERY DAY…EVERY DAY…whether it be at the yoga studio or on my back porch…I’M DOING ME…and being me. And I’ve got to tell you….it feels GREAT. I’m by no means perfect…BUT I’M ON IT…on my journey…to my inner truth. Every day…I’m connecting deeper within myself…and it makes me smile.

Summer Solstice DIY Summer Body Perfume Splash 2016.

Summer Solstice Summer Body Perfume Splash Recipe 2016!

This time of year…man, is my favorite. Living in southern Georgia can be VERY hot…but once you’ve lived here for a while…it just becomes a part of you. The heat…the sun…summer nights…fans…bugs…and the water life. It just is. I wouldn’t have it any other way…

 

For this summer I’ve decided to create a Summer Body Perfume Splash recipe that is based around Valerie Ann Worwood’s basic base splash recipe from The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy. Her basic base recipe is as follow:

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of High Proof Vodka
  • 4 ounces of White Wine or Cider Vinegar
  • 2 cups of Spring Water
  • 27-31 drops of your desired essential oils

Directions Verbatim:

“First blend the essential oils together. Add them to the vodka and shake well for as long as you can. Leave them all to settle, then add the vinegar. Pour the whole mixture into 2 cups of spring water and again, shake well. Finally, pass the liquid through a paper coffee filter. The longer you leave the essential oils in the vodka and vinegar mix before adding the water, the stronger the scent will be.”

Which finally brings me to my personal blend for you! Combined with the above I decided to use the following essential oils for the Summer Body Splash 2016 blend:

  • Grapefruit for joyfulness. 5 drops.
  • Lemongrass for the inspiring soul. 5 drops.
  • Sweet Orange for a brightening smile. 5 drops.
  • Lemon for renewing this Summer Solstice. 5 drops.
  • Patchouli for sensuality and a summer of love. 5 drops.

Blend like above and spray on like perfume!

First Quarter Moon in Virgo. Ode to the stars and moon above.

Mmm. This energy. This flow. My sun sign is in the moon tonight. Although you might feel a sense of urgency to be full force, I beg you, take this one slow. This is a time to reflect…even though your intellectual side is telling you to raise your voice and speak your analytical mind…set that inner voice in check…and say not tonight. Unless, of course, you know what you’re getting yourself into. In that case…by all means go for it. 

For me…I’m going to take this one slow…even when I have this urgency to be on point….I’m taking this one slow. I’m reflecting back to this past new moon. I’m radiating love, grace, and adventure. I am a friend of all friends. If you need me I’m here to listen. Even if you don’t personally know me…I can be a sounding board. Tonight…I’m slowly, methodically, reflecting on my journey.

New Moon in Gemini.

New Moon in Gemini.

Everyone should have a Gemini in their life. I have a strong affection towards this sign…considering it shares the same ruling planet Mercury (the communication planet) as my Sun Sign Virgo. Something about the intellectual side of the Gemini is stimulating…both Gemini and Virgo are just that…intellectual. In fact they are the only two signs in the Zodical Wheel that share the same ruling planet…all other signs don’t share a planet. 

To add, Gemini’s have a very charismatic and charming quality to them. They are the friend of all friends and they are always there for you if you need them. 

They are always thirsting for knowledge and may have a hard time sitting still. They like adventure and a change of scenery quite frequently. You might even have a hard time keeping up with a Gemini. Gemini’s also have the gift of gab and can be very talkative…Some may even say scatterbrained as they always seem to have multiple projects going at one time. 

TO THE MOON…

Tonight and for the next few days you may feel like you have a lot to say. You and everyone around you might be seeking stimulating conversations. Thanks Gemini. Take care with your words and make a conscious effort to LISTEN as well. It’s easy getting carried away with words…just remember that a conversation has two people (or more) so take care to LISTEN as well. What is that saying again?

Read that quote…and take care with how you listen. Be mindful in your listening. Sometimes just listening is enough…no reply needed. 

Tonight is a good night to set an intention. Or start something new. Tonight is a new beginning. 

For me…I want to radiate with love, grace, and adventure. I want to write more and let my stories come to life. I want to be a friend of all friends. I want to be a confidant and sounding board. I want to be mindful in all my actions.

The Ogeechee River.

I have to admit…I’m not all together as I’d hope. But I see change. I feel flow. I am flow. This life we are given..what does it mean? I am on a quest. To find my inner truth…the things that hold me together. I’m certain that the older I get, the more I realize things in a wiser way. The more I see…the more I understand… the more I question… the more I learn. Humanity. Philosophy. Spirituality. What does it all mean? What do I mean? Tonight the moon is in its last quarter in Pisces…I’m feeling the emotional pull to question what it is I want out of this life. What do I want? I’m flowing. Do I go with the current…do I push against it? Will I find my way to the ocean?
