Night and Sleep…and the Spring Awakening.

This is one of my favorite times of year. The first day of Spring…  a new beginning… the end of Winters Slumber. A time to start fresh… to clean… to throw out the old… in with the new… the beginning of an awakening…

An awakening to your soul… to the flowers… to the grass.. to the trees… an awakening for Mother Nature and her animal friends….

Coincidentally the moon is in the LAST Quarter phase… a literal term to use. The last of many things… the beginning of many more.

Now that Winters slumber is over…

Wake up flowers…

Wake up soul…

Wake up Mother Nature…

Wake up soul…

Wake up animal friends…

Wake up soul…

Spring is here…thank you thank you thank you…

So start thinking of what needs awakening… start thinking of things to let go of… start thinking of things to begin… start fresh… start clean… and praise the beauty that we live in…

For some inspiration…and to give praise where praise is due…thought to remember:

“God.

the eternal

unchanging

formless force

beneath the ever changing forms.

I am. you are. we are.

that.”

-Jes Allen

Happy Spring Equinox! Hoping that your first day of Spring is the start and continuance of many things good…

Half Moon in Capricorn…The last Quarter and New beginning.

Half Moon in Capricorn. First day of Spring. The slumber is over. Time for Spring cleaning and New Beginnings.

How cool is it that the last Quarter Moon fell on the Spring Equinox? Very cool. I’m taking the word “LAST” literally and beginning again. Thank goodness for Spring…time to clean out the old for the new to begin. Be like the Capricorn…half mountain goat, half sea creature…CLIMB those mountains you’ve wanted to…and SWIM against the current…

Love & Moonlight,

Kelly.

PS. There will be a separate Spring Equinox post later today…most likely tonight. But go ahead and start thinking about Spring Cleaning and NEW beginnings…because that is what I’ll be thinking about all day. Make a list! Make two…just start thinking new and fresh!

Waning Moon: The Flowers of Sleep.

Les Fleurs Du Sommeil (The Flowers of Sleep), by Achille Theodore Cesbron (1849-1915)

The Moon is waningwaning, waning, waning.

I am sleepingsleeping, sleeping, sleeping.

I am dreamingdreaming, dreaming, dreaming.

________________________________________

As the moon is waning...Sometimes you just got to join in and turn inward and rest with it. Rest your tired bones. Rest your tired eyes. Rest your tired soul. I didn’t intend on staying home from work today…but my youngest daughter got sick last night…and so here I am at home…resting with her…resting with the moon…resting with the flowers…resting, resting, resting. In these quiet moments… when you truly rest… friendly little dreams appear…feelings arise…and you get inspired. Sometimes just resting will bring answers to questions you’ve been asking for a long time. When the mind is quiet…things become clear. So rest with the moon….rest with the flowers…and rest often.

For a bit of astrology: to go with your waning moon in Scorpio tonight…ask yourself….what would a Scorpio do if they were given only a limited time left on this Earth…in this vessel they were given? A Scorpio would tell you to sit and FEEL the answer…they would tell you to go by feeling…not logic. When you sit and feel what your intuition is telling you…you will know the answer.  That is why Scorpios are so passionate…they feel things and then live like there is no tomorrow…so sit, wane, rest, sleep, dream…and when you wake up…live your life with passion.

For the next couple of days the moon will be waning.…on March 20th there will be a Last Quarter Moon in Capricorn AND the Spring Equinox.

So rest up in the last bit of the winter days to prepare yourself for Spring! Because a lot of things are preparing for an awakening…you, the flowers of sleep, the Earth, your soul…

Love & Moonlight,

Kelly

Spring.

I have been way too busy here lately! (I have even missed writing about the first quarter moon..eek). With an echo conference in Atlanta and my daughters dance competition in Orlando…I’ve been so busy!

BUT wanted to say happy Spring! Here are some springy things I’ve been doing!

I’ll be busy for the next month in preparation for a registry exam scheduled the end of April. I’ll try to check in more often than I have been! In the meantime…its STUDY, STUDY, STUDY time!

Love & Moonlight,

Kelly

Sneak Peak: The Walden Moon Lifestyle

The Walden Moon Lifestyle

The moon in many ways is quite magical. Beaming down bright. Waning. Hiding. Waxing. Beaming down bright. Waning. Hiding. Waxing. Turning the tides. The ebb and flow of life. Not only is it magical in the way that it exists…it is also magical in the way that it can help you cultivatitate a life of beauty and self-acceptance…with the combination of the solstices and equinoxes you can use these natural happenings as a guideline…a natural time clock to guide you and make your life just as magical.

So how do you use the moon and seasons? By using the four main moon phases (there are actually eight) and the four seasons, to set a natural time clock, you can create deadlines to getting stuff done…four squared.  Have you ever wanted to learn to surf? Or maybe you wanted to clean out the attic? Have you let the procrastination ghost sneak up on you too often?

Well hopefully I can share some good things to help inspire your life. Because who doesn’t want a beautiful life and a feeling of self acceptance and accomplishment?

Some things I hope to share:

  • Printable monthly calendars and lists (of all kinds), because list making and planning are the key visual that your getting stuff done.
  • Quarterly DIY projects to go along with the seasons.
  • Tidbits about herbs and essential oils.
  • Recipes.
  • A theme for each full moon with worksheets to go along.
  • And whatever I find interesting and worthwhile to share.

Stay tuned for the big reveal this Summer Solstice! June 21, 2015!!!
